The Medela Symphony breast pump is $100.00 + GST per month to rent; with delivery, set-up and pick-up included in this price. There is a one month minimum rental period required. In our professional experience, one month of use is recommended to see any possible benefits from the pump's use.

Breast Milk expression is not for everyone. We know this from our experience of supporting lactating people for over 20 years combined! Breast pump rental allows for a trial period of pumping with one of the best pumps on the market without the major costs of purchasing a high-end personal-use pump. Breast pump rental of an industrial or ‘hospital grade’ breast pump is also an excellent idea for those with the intention to pump exclusively or to triple feed. Our rentals are conveniently delivered and picked-up for no additional fee, meaning it’s less time consuming than browsing aimlessly at pumps in the store.

Our Medela Symphony breast pumps are only available within Winnipeg and the surrounding area detailed in our delivery map. Once we receive your order, we will contact you as soon as possible to confirm details and to arrange a delivery time. We try our best to always have rental pumps in stock. We are typically able to deliver within 24 hours, same-day delivery is available Monday to Friday when your order is placed before 11 am*.

Decision based on 2 options to be chosen

Prepayment by credit or debit card is required when booking your pump rental. Payment is required in full. A valid credit card and Canadian driver’s license are required to complete the rental agreement at the time of delivery. We provide detailed receipts for health insurance or health spending account reimbursement.

The Medela Symphony rental is of the pump motor itself. A personal-use pumping kit is required to use the pump. This can be purchased and delivered with your breast pump rental if you do not have one already. The Medela Symphony personal-use kit is $65.00 + tax to purchase or purchase 2 personal-use kits for $100.00 + tax.

The Medela Symphony personal-use double pumping kit includes: two sets of PersonalFit Breast Shield flanges in sizes 24mm and 27mm, two PersonalFit Connectors, 4 milk collection bottles (2 x 30 ml bottles and 2 x 60 ml bottles), 2 Valves and 4 Membranes, tubing and two diaphragms. All pump parts which come in contact with your breast and breast milk are BPA and phthalate-free for your peace of mind.

Unfortunately, other Medela breast pumps, such as the Freestyle and Sonata breast pumps, do not have all of the parts required to use the Medela Symphony breast pump.

Note: Hospital-grade breast pump kits you receive in hospital are not always recommended for long term use but your kit can be assessed at the time of delivery for suitability.

There is a minimum $40.00 cleaning fee applicable at the end of your rental if the pump is returned unsanitary. You will be told if this cleaning fee applies when your pump is assessed at the time of pick-up.

There is a minimum $50.00 repair fee billed by Medela if the pump is returned damaged or in disrepair. This cost may increase depending on the repair needed.

There is no deposit required. Your credit card details will be kept on file for the duration of your rental as per the Medela User Agreement.

The Medela Symphony is a multi-user, closed-system breast pump. A closed motor system ensures bodily fluids such as milk, cannot transmit through the pump system. It also prevents bacteria and other pathogens from entering the pump motor system.

We clean our Symphony pumps thoroughly between each rental with CaviCide. CaviCide is a surface disinfectant that is effective against TB, HCV, bacteria (including MRSA and VRE) and fungi. It has also been approved by Health Canada for use against Covid-19.

We make your life easy by reminding you when your pump rental is due to end. You will receive an email 5-7 days before the end date of your agreed rental period. You will be given the opportunity to extend your rental or schedule a pick-up of your pump. We will come to pick up the pump from you and inspect the pump. You will receive a contract summary that marks the end of the rental period as long as the pump is in good repair and returned in clean condition. There will need to be someone home and physically present for pick-up as we will need to plug in the pump to inspect it.

Our Medela Symphony breast pumps can be rented as long as you need it. There is only a minimum rental of one month, no maximum.

The Medela Symphony breast pump must be plugged into an electrical outlet for the entirety of a pumping session.

The Medela Symphony breast pump is a double breast pump but can be modified to be a single pump if needed / desired. You will be shown how to do this during set-up.
